    What it said was that Hitler didn’t kill millions of jews, he had the public servants do it for him. It’s a reminder that it’s not that its just one bad person that’s responsible for these heinous acts. Just following orders is not a excuse.

Their public sector workers did.” He’s villainizing government workers so he can ruin their lives with impunity and further dismantle the fabric of our country.   19. Can anyone link to the share by Elon? I see news articles talking about it, but they don’t link or show a picture of him sharing it on twitter.

    I hate Elon as much as the next guy, but having virtual proof to something should be the bare minimum for news articles about social media posts. I don’t have a twitter account, so it’s a pain in the ass to find the post they are referring to.

  21. He is right – Hitler did not murder a single person (except Hitler, in the end) personally. He “merely” gave the orders.

    Stalin murdered a few bank guards in his youth, but he also did not take up the handgun to execute the victims of purges and personally, and neither did he personally go and pick up the food of the famine victims. He merely gave the orders.

    So if Musks point is that atrocities of a dictator are actually performed by his underlings… it is factually true, and utterly trivial. Water is wet, sky is blue
