1. Not really unusual during a coup.

2. They don’t want the FBI to know information about the guys who will be running the FBI. I’m sure that will instill a lot of confidence in FBI agents knowing that their highest appointed leaders can’t pass their own background check process.

3. I’m curious why. They already made clear that the FBI would not be an independent agency anymore. Maybe pushback from career agents? Maybe he trusts the Pentagon not to leak all the disgusting stuff they will find on these ghouls?
