  1. Good. I completely agree with canceling F-35 purchases but in reality Europe rapidly need to produce their own stealth fighter. As much as we already have capable air forces already, part of European air power rests on F-35s dominance.

  2. Trump’s Russian handlers must be loving that Trump’s (intentional…?) dismantling of the American War trade is pairing so well with Fat Amy’s constant cost and reliability issues

  3. The Fanta fascist told the world that America builds kill switches into its equipment to make sure they can not be used against us. If you own American defense industry stock, sell and sell fast.

  4. Wish Canada could dump the order for 88 f-35 but the $ penalty would be high. Better options are the Swedish twin engine Saab or the French twin engine jet. Neither has stealth but the other option are better for there use in the high north and sub optimal runways when it comes to the Saab Gripen.

  5. Could you imagine being the CEO of an American defence firm right now ?

Nobody anywhere is going to buy any American military tech that’s more advanced than small arms after this shit

  6. There’s nothing in that article to justify the headline. The most relevant quote is “must make us think about the best options” which could just be a negotiating position.

  7. Trump has absolutely destroyed the American military industry in a month. No foreign force is going to touch American equipment with a barge pole for decades.

Compare this to Biden, who was showcasing American military might in Ukraine without risking a single American, investing aid money back into American military contractors to replace the soon-to-be-decommissioned-anyway stockpile, and reinforcing America’s position on the world stage.

It really is mind boggling how quickly Trump cancelled the future of America. Thank Christ for the EU.

  8. My country, the USA, is an unreliable ally.

NATO a relationship which for over 75 years maintained peace among nations is over. The concept of the “West” – Europe and North America are over. And as the US withdraws, nations from Poland to Japan will rearm with nuclear capability. We have to think of a new architecture.

The reality is that Europeans are faced with two rogue superpowers — China and America. And there is a rabid enemy in Russia at the door.

As America betrays its allies, China will take advantage. And will cut a deal with the USA to do to Taiwan what Russia is doing to Ukraine and allow the USA to take Greenland.

Asia and Africa will have to hedge their bets and play both sides.

Europe cannot responsibly trust the rogue super power that the US has become.

  9. This is “leopards ate my face” stuff right here. America is ruining itself.

  10. Bump bump bump, another one bites the dust Bump bump bump, another one bites the dust
And the other one’s gone and another one’s gone

  11. Doesn’t that info make your stuff drop in value and at the same time force others to actively search for ways to disable such kill switch, rendering it useless eventually?

    Isn’t this a lose-lose situation?

  12. Its funny that the current Maga reply to this is that Portugal never HAD an F35 contract.
So of course this doesnt matter as far as US defense sales go.

  13. Starting to think Trump is a French asset put there to sell Rafael’s 🤣

  14. Smart move Portugal, I hope everyone in the world follows suit. Defense is not something worth gambling on. Immagine orange man deciding “yeah, those european sons of bitches do not want piece” when russia comes knocking, and then disabling all it’s weapons electronics, and europe being left with a bunch of extremely expensive scrap metal. Let their MiC feel the pain of loosing hundreds of billions of dollars. Infact all the ones we already have should be gutted and retooled with our own domestic production.

  15. Investment in Europe . USA under Trump cannot be trusted.
