The EU is locked in a momentous fight with Poland. And the UK is backing the wrong side

  1. Why is the UK even getting involved? I thought the whole point of Brexit was to not be involved in this type of stuff. You wanted out? Stay out.

  2. The solution is easy, there are rules that need to be accepted to be able to join the EU right? Well then if a member country breaks those rules they should be automatically kicked out.

So if people in Hungary/Poland etc want to keep living in a homophobic society then they have no place in the EU so should be kicked out. Only then will you see if such an event will force their country into becoming a more open society or not. But by keeping them in and allowing them to receive millions in funding all the while continuing to not be a society for all kind of defeats the purpose and is rewarding bad behaviour

  3. The straw man picture that the opinion author creates is quite frightening.

This guy knows how to sell newspapers, that’s for sure!
