I’m no mathematician, but I do know this: 99% is a hell of a lot bigger than 1%. Together, the American people can defeat Trump’s advances toward authoritarianism and create an economy that works for all of us, not just the billionaire class.

  1. No one is going to save us. Got to do it ourselves I guess!

  2. Cheerz, the Free people of America, got a 30 million people problem running wild. They are called new nsdap redcaps. And a few parasite billionaires lurking on medicaid billions and laughing in your face.

  3. Billionaires have something to offer. They will never it give it, but they have something to offer (money, safety, stability) The 99% have nothing (relatively speaking) and do not offer money, safety and stability. It does not matter whether any of that is true, it just matters how the 99% feel.

“I feel like the billionaire is a better choice over my own self interest” Like it or not, this is an accurate statement.

  4. You must be totally unaware of whats going on. The people WANT Trump to cut the government because its gotten too expensive and the incompetence now is over the top. We cannot build anything , win anymore wars, we have become a joke and Washington did this to us.

  5. The guy who wants the government bigger accusing the guy who wants the government smaller of being authoritarian 🤣

  6. An economy that works for everyone isn’t even the right goal. We need a society that is compatible with and supports the equilibrium of the biosphere. This is monumentally more difficult than a less stratified society.

  7. This whole “Trump is an authoritarian” thing is a joke at best. Remember when Biden did criminal reform and you all hated it? Then Trump passed the First Step Act in 2018, working with Congress to get it done. Even then, you still complained even though you voted for it.

Trump appointed judges through the constitutional process with Senate confirmation. That’s literally separation of powers in action. He went out daily, spoke to the media, held press conferences, debated publicly, and let his policies be scrutinized.

And just this January, he signed a Freedom of Speech order. He also supported Hong Kong’s autonomy in 2019, standing against China.

How is any of this authoritarian? You guys need to get a clue. This kind of name-calling is exactly why Hillary lost the first time. And you still haven’t learned.

  8. It’s not just Trump. It’s the Democratic Party too. That’s why Bernie is independent. We want equality. We want rights for everyone. Socialized healthcare, universal childcare, right to housing. We don’t want the picking and choosing and “equity”. The only way forward is as one people equally.

  9. 99%? Did you see the last vote. This isn’t the 1% vs 99%. There’s a significant portion of the country that would fight for him. Reddit is also very very liberal and I would tell you todo your own research outside of headlines. Most likely trumps plans are going to back fire and raise inflation which was the #1 key issues for voters

  10. 99% of something can be smaller than 1% of something else!

  11. **No one is coming to save us.** Politicians, no matter how well-intentioned they may seem, ultimately serve the system that keeps people running in circles. Bernie Sanders built a movement on fighting for the working class, yet when it truly mattered—when his party had power—he went quiet on key promises like Medicare for All. Instead of challenging the establishment, he fell in line, endorsing candidates who uphold the same corporate interests he once railed against. This isn’t a mistake; it’s how the game is played. Politicians, even those who claim to be different, use passionate rhetoric to rally support, raise money, and keep people engaged in a cycle that never truly challenges the status quo. Real change doesn’t come from electing another leader or hoping the next election will be different. It comes from taking responsibility into our own hands—building alternative systems, supporting local communities, and creating financial and social independence outside of government control. Waiting for politicians to act in our best interest is a losing strategy. The sooner people realize this, the sooner we can start making real progress.

  12. I just want yall to realize that the top ten percent pay 76 percent of the United States’ revenue from taxes

  13. I love Bernie, but we’re already living in an Oligarchy. Capitalism has been dead for many years now. And they have half or more of the population cheering it on.

  14. We won’t ever get a Bernie Presidential run as long as Pelosi has anything to say about it.

  15. You’re being duped by the people reaping millions in taxpayer money and laughing as you baristas carry their water.

  16. Except that the only way to do this is through politics. Like, getting elected and stuff. Which American leftists have scorned for decades.

So, no, I don’t think this is an answer to anything this time around, any more than it was when Occupy Wall Street was a thing.

  17. Most people don’t believe we are headed towards Authoritarianism. You will never get your majority until that changes.
