The Croatian government announced that it is closely monitoring the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing the importance of the stability of the neighboring country in the context of complex geopolitical circumstances and the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“Nobody, especially Croatia, is in favor of the destabilization of our neighboring and friendly country, whose European path we strongly advocate,” the Croatian government said at the X.

In its statement, Croatia emphasized the importance of consistent respect for the constitutional framework of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the year that marks the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

“It is important that all political actors in Bosnia and Herzegovina remain committed to respecting the constitutional framework, the independence of judicial institutions, and ensuring the equality of all three constituent peoples,” the statement said.
