  1. Greenland is not for sale because the Inuits don't own it. You can't sell something you can't defend. Owning it on paper means nothing. All the natives and the danes own, are the southern small chunks that they controll. The rest is not their unfortunately, so please stop saying things like " not for sale"

  2. At some point one of the newly elected officials said " the world powers are interested in the island and the people of Greenland are willing to negotiate". Does he really think China, US and Russia, the combined populaiton close to 2 billion is gonna negotiate with 57k people? What the hell is wrong with the Greenlanders? How delusional do you have to be to even say that?

  3. I can't help feel Greenland residents are naive. To think you can have an independent nation of only 50k residents in a day an age where we are moving back to might makes right. They will have to exist within a larger block such as the EU, which they already have as part of Denmark.

  4. Interesting…with all the hoopla about President Trump's comments (I believe it was in jest) what this election means is anybody's guess, but it would seem to at least open the door to more discussion about a closer role for the US and Greenland…but Denmark's sensitivities need to be taken into account as well.

  5. Almost everybody has a price, the exceptions have character! Every country has a price, character has nothing to do with politics!

  6. Greenland basically has 4-years to figure out if they want to be apart of America – A recommendation would be to TAKE THE MONEY and protection while retaining a territorial, thus staying away from the stupidity that is politics. While also self governing. Basically how every us territory is run snd honestly, none of have left despite the offer from Americans for full independence

  7. Together we stand divided we fall. Better get use to increased US threats. You will be weak alone, and that is what is what your adversaries wish.

  8. Vance and Trump Jr. tried to interfere in the German and Greenlandic elections respectively, which backfired in both cases πŸ˜‚

  9. Since America is going outside of the box, Greenland should also. It should consider unification with Canada as a Canadian territory. Canada is the closest next door neighbor, it has a similar European style constitutional monarchy government like Denmark, it's honorable and non-belligerent, it already has native Inuit governed territories such as Nunavut, it is going through the same abuse from Trump. Canada would be a better choice than Denmark or America, and territory status would be near independence, but under Canada's sovereignty.

  10. America covets the industry and resources of it's neighbors threatening annexation just like Russia. The USA will never respect your sovereignty. They want to dominate Greenland.

  11. Can't wait for Americaland to be added to our great country. The native population will be made rich, the mainland will get minerals, and we will all laugh together while sharing a beer over the stagnation of the europoors

  12. This is a complete misrepresentation of the election results. The party, that has worked the most for Greenland independence, Siumut, LOST the election!
