  8. Something like this happened in Germany, just before WW2. A lot of geniuses fled the country for the USA because they could see what was about to happen. I don’t limit myself to just one site. I can see it.

    God but I’m terrified.

  10. England in the 1800s experienced the same thing — to the benefit of the USA. Now we are suffering from the same hubris. Our future will look a lot like the fate of England after the wars.

  21. When the Trump administration realizes the existence and severity of the brain drain, they will likely pass legislation (of a presidential order as is now customary) making it unlawful for people with a student debt to leave the country.

    Trump always resorts to coercion.

    As a side note, Trump wants to implement a scheme in which people with student debt have to work for the US state for 10 years to repay it. If this legislation passes, they don’t be free citizens anymore. They will be serfs.
