  1. It’s the Turnerkreuz – four times the letter F, for “frisch, fromm, fröhlich, frei”, the motto of Turnvater Jahn. It’s a symbol of German gymnastic clubs. No Nazi connection, indeed the Nazis abolished it.

    But you can openly ask “Is this a Nazi symbol” here, no need to tiptoe around it.

  2. It’s also the symbol of a cool American punk band called Jawbreaker.
