I mean, it worked in the US…
I’m not sure being pro Russian in Ukraine is going to be a popular platform with the Ukrainian electorate somehow .
Surely even Russians by now have realised that Ukrainians aren’t “brothers waiting for liberation” , and that virtually every Ukrainian absolutely despises them ?
Everything else aside, this is one the the bigger post-war dangers that Ukraine will face.
Greedy, corrupt politicians who will sell out their country to Russia. Unless Ukraine enshrines something in their constitution that will have people face treason charges when caught dealing with Russia in any form, Russia could still conquer Ukraine with resorting to another war. Unless a second, sovjet-style, collapse of their country happens that is.
I hope that Ukrainians will elect a Western friendly president when the war is over.
