  1. Maria Danchyna, who had gone to Austria for studies before the full-scale invasion, made a long journey to the frontlines. At first, she became involved in various volunteer efforts to support Ukrainian refugees. Over time, Maria transitioned into becoming a combat medic – thanks in large part to her education.

    In this video, she talks about the tough decision to leave behind the life she had built abroad and the internal challenges she faced along the way.
