Putin wearing a military uniform for the first time since the start of the invasion should give you an indication of just how ”committed to peace” Russia is and the odds of them accepting the ceasefire.

6. He is visiting a military command center as a highest military rank in the country, makes sense.

   Also, Russia has always wanted peace, but only when Russia’s demands are met, like it always was since 2014. So, basically he wants peace after full Russian victory, and so far that’s the only thing he agrees to.

   “Give us what we want, then you have peace”.

11. He’s trying to imitate Zelenskyy by associating himself with his soldiers. After all, it worked so well for Zelenskyy. Nobody cares about the suit thing, they think he’s great for still wearing the Ukrainian uniform, it must be important.

14. Why would he suddenly wear a uniform? He visited many fronts before(Chechenya, Georgia, Syria), and never worn a uniform. This is a man, who comes to public rally, bitching about west and capitalism, while wearing a 12.000$ Loro Piana jacket. He likes to flaunt his wealth silently, with expensive clothes and very rare and very expensive watches(sometimes you can see him playing with one during conferences out of boredom). Yet suddenly, he’s dressed in a uniform, in a bunker? Something’s off here

22. They absolutely can not accept a ceasefire. The morale of their soldiers on the front line would cause their military to crumble. They NEED to be able to send soldiers to their deaths to maintain order and keep their war time economy running smoothly.

    If they stop fighting and then after one month need to fight again they’ll have mass mutiny on their hands that could cascade in to civil war.

23. I think they might accept a ceasefire, but they will only treat it as an opportunity to regroup for new attacks. A treaty signed by Russia has as much value as used toilet paper.
