Is boycotting Tesla making Tesla more popular among MAGA ultimately better for the environment?

  1. I don’t think alot of MAGAs can afford teslas, or have the infra to recharge one

  2. No.

Supporting the company funding an administration actively rolling back as many environmental protections and climate change limiting actions is not “better for the environment”.

  3. No because most magats can’t afford a $40,000+ Tesla because their welfare check isnt that high

  4. No, conservatives are ridiculously selfish. It’s a core part of being conservative. They can’t consider anything that isn’t affecting them right now. They aren’t really smart enough to think about the future

  5. Very confusing because the maga have been told for such a long time drill baby drill is the only right answer. EV are the evil plot of Soros/Librul so stay away. Can they pivot to support some EV not others, invest in charging infrastructure to support all this, Librul might benefit. Hard sell.

  6. If demand for Teslas rises then yes, the boycott is counter-productive. However, this is unlikely for a few reasons. First, MAGA are disproportionately poor, so they can’t afford them. Second, this only covers America and Tesla had large markets in Europe and Asia as well. Third, even if you are Tesla-positive because you now hate liberals, you have to be willing to accept your car is a badge that you might prefer not to wear and has a good chance of being vandalised. Fourth, if Tesla becomes a MAGA car, even fewer non-MAGA people will buy one.

Ultimately the markets have shown that there is little confidence in Tesla’s brand anymore.

  7. I think it’s making EVs acceptable. My MAGA coworkers bought a hybrid and I swear it’s because he just couldn’t make the full jump to Tesla. But he was allowed to consider it.

  8. It would certainly be a plot twist.

Hilarious that people still think Musk is a genius when he just did his very very best to alienate the part of the population that disproportionately buys his products.

  9. EVs are a piece of the puzzle but if we don’t break our dependence on private cars we aren’t really going to solve the problem. Ultimately public transit needs to be more widespread and cities need to be better zoned/laid out for improved walkability/bikeability. Even then, transportation is still just a piece of the puzzle

  10. It depends on if it actually drives demand and they replace their vehicles. If not then no Elon is still a huge net negative for the environment

  11. I don’t believe there is a surge in Tesla sales. Maybe a few here or there, but sales are down globally.

  12. Maga can now go buy his electric cars with all the money they are saving with Trump in office.

  13. I don’t know many MAGA that can afford Teslas. The ones that can prefer giant lifted trucks.

  14. If the lemmings want to blow 100k on a shitmobile that will fall apart the first time they try to do anything, give them heartburn trying to get repairs, and have minimal opportunities to charge up unless they drop more money on a home charger, let them. It’ll be worth it to laugh at them for tying themselves up into that much debt.

  15. Its 4D chess guy! Trump’s obviously pro-climate and is psy-opping the right into saving us!

  16. LOLOLOL😂😂😂 >wipes tear from eye< bwahahahahaha!!!!

  17. Any MAGA people who could afford a Tesla or Cybertruck already have one. The infomercial outside the White House will move the needle very little for Tesla.
