Sad but not surprised to see this news coming from Fuse. There are few clubs in Belgium that I’ve gone to that felt “safe”, especially when going with girls, you suddenly realise how fucking big the problem is.
Reading the article, the reaction of the toilet lady seems… exactly what she’d say, reading the sarcastic reactions from security… absolutely plausible. Here’s hoping that extra training and the other changes they’re doing will change something. But the issue runs deeper I think, they overcrowd the place real bad at times, making it super easy to bother other patrons. They’ll change a few things, but they’re not gonna change that.
Anyway, other clubs that seriously need a wake-up call: Ampere, Club Vaag, though to be fair, most clubs in Antwerp probably. Dunno why but Antwerp still seems stuck in the 90’s in that regard. Ghent seems a lot better in that regard, no place can be perfect, but seriously different vibe, as well as C12 in Bxl, who’re “all about that” safe space mentality, and it pays off imo.
So a couple in the bathroom and a drugged up woman a few hours later? In fuse? You sure there was only 1 woman drugged up? Is this news?
