1. For a long time I had the feeling (don’t know if it is true) that he wasn’t too pleased with the right wing of N-Va (Theo Francken, etc…)

   Anyway a loss for N-VA for sure.

2. Damn, I feel like my party just lost quite an important guy here. He was much more moderate and seemed more intelligent than the vast majority of our other leading figures… Was hoping he’d take over after Bartje.

   This might make me lose touch even more with the party, guessing a lot of people feel similarly.
