Erotic massage for rent. Pm for details.
Good stuff.
I would have thought that sexual exploitation in exchange for accommodation would already have been illegal.
Is it that they are making it a criminal offense to even mention it?
So is it illegal to ask for it or to get it?
Any landlord demanding sex for rent should be named and shamed. Glad we’re making progress here.
My nans gona make me move out now ffs.
Sex for power bills.
Blow jobs for rent becomes the new meta
Isn’t it already illegal?
>The Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 2017 made important changes to the law on prostitution. It made paying for sexual services a criminal offence
>It is an offence to pay, promise to pay, or give any other remuneration or compensation, to another person in exchange for “sexual activity”. If convicted, you could be fined €500 for a first offence, or €1000 for a second or subsequent offence.

Surprised this isn’t covered under an existing law already. Would this not fall under the laws making the purchasing of sex illegal, albeit that probably wouldn’t work legally.
My body my choice!
Another attack on traditional marriage. /s
This is already illegal and this is just PR – it’s bad law. Like when the passed a special law for knife crime when assault and weapons crimes already existed.
It’s pretty dumb.
It’s covered by existing law.. give it to our politicians for wasting time for tweets.
Hear that, ladies and gents? Unelicited sexual bribery and manipulation is now a crime!
Hope the bastards have their houses taken away from them and given to those who they victimized.
So it’s not already illegal…. unbelievable
Is this actually happening? I know there have been media reports of it but the media also reported syringe attacks in nightclubs and about the male teachers in a school in Cavan, both of which have since come out as false.
I am inclined to put this in the same bucket of moral panics.
I hate the idea of making laws that are reactions to twitter stories. They seem well-meaning, but they just don’t have the same diligence as regular laws, so will probably end up with loads of unintended consequences that harm far more people than they help. The UK is ruined by that type of thing – one reactionary idea after another.
The only decent response to this as a landlord is – “You’re a lovely girl and all that but blowjobs don’t pay the fucking mortgage”. All sorted.
Like the needle spiking this just isnt happening, but we have to make the call, is sex work exploitative or not. Absolutely make this illegal but make onlyfans illegal while youre at it
Covered already in existing laws – also there are absolutely NO ACTUAL REPORTS of this happening anywhere – it’s just kite flying by FFFG to gain sympathy for the incoming refugees – they don’t need extra sympathy – they already have all our symapthy – we will absorb them and accomodate them and welcome them.
Unlucky,no female landlords asked me that :((
How do you enforce this new law, provide evidence in court etc… also what stops a tenant from blackmailing a landlord for free rent.
We need to start nationalising the land that people don’t reside in themselves (say 2 acres per household). This is the latest example of how individual exclusionary land ownership creates an improper power balance that has been going on since the flight of the earls and the famine etc
If there was a centralised land management system, farmers could be paid salaries to create produce that is needed, rather than assume all the risk of a crop fails; land could be reapportioned for housing, trains/roads/infrastructure, recreation etc without the years long legal tango all these initiatives have to grind through to the benefit of no one but the exclusionary landowner and their legal representatives; derelict land could be dealt with more efficiently instead of waiting for whatever family/business disputed between persons are holding up the sale or development to be resolved
I’ll get downvoted to oblivion of course and the landowning classes will balk at the thought of losing their unearned property wealth, but the country needs a radical move to tackle a myriad of issues that were created by the old enemy instilling the idea of land as the ultimate expression of property wealth.
As a landlord I’m absolutely disgusted by the idea of having sex with a tenant. Never mind that it’s unnatural and sick, but you can’t buy anything or save up to invest in another property with sex which is suppose to be the point of renting homes. Worst of all you can argue the tenant also gets something out of it which is twisted and wrong.
Insane that it has taken this long
