  1. They’re making it obvious. This is how a nation falls.

Jack Aaron, whose past comments on controversial leaders led to widespread criticism, is now overseeing candidate selection

  2. This sounds like an emotional click bait article. Gonna need some additional sources.

EDIT: This guy asked for verification, DOWN VOTE THIS RACIST ASSHOLE.

  3. Sadly reform know they have more to gain by putting these views out there than they have to lose.

  4. The fact he was even considered it a damning indictment of Reform party leadership. They have better choices like…. basically anyone

  5. Looking forward to seeing what excuses the Reform dick riders come up with to defend this one

  6. Vetting candidates to make sure they are the right shade of puce, have a history of violence and most important of all, have a load of cash to hand over to the Reform Company PLC Limited Pyramid Scheme.

  7. This is just a clickbait article.

    >A Reform UK general election candidate who said Hitler was “brilliant” at inspiring people and described Bashar al-Assad as “gentle by nature”

  8. From the article:

“A Reform UK general election candidate who said Hitler was “brilliant” at inspiring people and described Bashar al-Assad as “gentle by nature” is now in charge of the party’s vetting process.”

Not quite praising Hitler and Assad was he? If anybody can find quotes of him actually praising the things that Hitler and Assad actually did, then it’s obviously a different story altogether.

More dishonest political point scoring by the Guardian, and stressed out redditors take it as gospel

  9. If you don’t think Russia has anything to do with this, think again.

2018 RT reportedly gave Nigel half a mil.
2016-17 He was given appearance fees of up to 5k by RT
He’s been known to support Putin and call anyone against Russia the aggressor.
Aaron Banks, a donor had dinners with the Russian ambassador.
The Leave EU team had up to 11 meetings with Russian embassy officials and was given business deals in Russia.
Banks even caused the NCA to investigate him.
The way reform (previously the brexit party) takes donations skims by UK law. They set up a donations page for sub £500 donations, there’s no need to declare meaning anyone (suspect Russia) can donate multiple times.
Oddly the government excluded any Russian probes when looking at Russian influence during the brexit vote (Farage was good buddies with the tories at the time)
2024 – Another of reforms donors david lilley gave 100k and has links to natural resource businesses in Russia. His business owns around 12,000 hectares of land in Russia.
2021 Nathan Gill was arrested by counter terror police and when taken to court refused to say anything.
He is charged with (in 2025) for taken Russian bribery money to spread their propaganda.

  10. The exact kind of candidate the little English inbreds who vote reform will get behind sadly……

  11. He’s not praising Hitler though. Read the article it’s reasonable stuff he’s saying.

Viewing historic figures though modern personality matrixes is a stretch of assumptions though.

  12. Reform is basically malignant cancer in political form. Nasty, uncalled for and no good to anyone.

  13. Full quote on the alleged Hitler praise.

“Yes, Hitler was as brilliant as he was utter evil. How is that controversial to say, given that he was able to turn the Germans to such destructive acts, including killing many members of my own family? I strongly believe, as a psychologist, in separating intelligence and talent from morality, so that we can adequately diagnose problems and help people.”

For anyone objectively minded, this is clearly just the guardian stooping to their regular brand of rage bait and gutter journalism.

  14. It seems his comments on Hitler were in reference to psychology, that Hitler was able to psychologically inspire people into action. His comments are undeniably true. And to paint them as support for Nazism is playing divisive political games of lies.

Do we really need to do this?

I’ve no idea who this bloke is, he could well be a fervent Nazi, but his comments on Hitler certainly don’t point to anything.

It’s not like when Justin Trudeau praised dictatorships or praised Mao Zedong.

  15. He praised hitler, sure he called him evil but that doesn’t take away from the fact he did praise him. This is how they capture the fools and skirt responsibility.

  16. The fascist sympathisers in this comments section is horrific. There’s multiple sources and evidence of this party being scum and you choose to ignore it. This is how the Nazi party got into power.

  17. Praise is praise no matter what’s said afterwards.

  18. Wow, a pseudo-intellectual racist who’s “science” originates from a Facebook group. Reform really has them in all sizes don’t they…

  19. Tbf the article does seem to be more about him being a Putin and Assad apologist who admires aspects of Hitlers personality. Which doesn’t sound great either.

  20. Did the British learn anything from Kim Philby, these modern plants are doing this shit out in the open

  21. What’s this guy’s username? Apparently he said all this stuff on reddit?

  22. Well, they need to make sure that new candidates are racist scumbags so it sort of makes sense.

Reform are soaked it russian cash as well (as has been pointed out by others).
