I would rather see KNDS to do so, as Rheinmetall isn’t the supplier of the kit currently in use or already procured for most EU militaries, while KNDS is.
Interesting how many neighbors of Germany recite the Nazi songs in their posts, yet seldom Germans themselves. Feels a bit like while neighbors seem to have a secret kink for it, while many Germans cringe at it.
While I’m happy about European defense being pushed, especially with Germany, I really think the Nazi parallels need to end. We are literally fighting Nazi-like dictatorships and possible traitors.
Seriously not liking the uptake of “Blümelein” on my favorite sub. It was fun in some early memes, now it seems regurgitated and overdone.
My favorite thing about the whole Volkswagen enterprise was how it was just a big scam and designed to build war factories using people’s savings while enriching Ferdinand Porsche. Actually this was pretty much the entire Nazi economic plan with stuff like MEFO causing the entire country to be a giant pyramid scheme while the rich elites siphoned off millions of marks raiding government budgets*
No one got their Volkswagen Beetle other than Hitler who got one for his birthday but people had paid for them using stamp books where you could put 5 marks a week in which mostly went into the pockets of industrialists rather than building the factory. This was just enough to stretch the whole thing out to the deceleration of war when the factory could switch to military vehicles based on the Beetle’s chassis. Still VW being the bros they are did give some people a 200 mark discount on their new Beetle after the war if they presented their stamp book.
*aren’t we lucky that people don’t do this in the modern age and we’re all way too smart to fall for such scams this days?

I have an idea: produce them in the Audi plant in central Brussels. Test shooting and gun calibration can be done on-site by shooting over the fence.
