MP says she was ‘bullied by left wing militants’ at P&O protest

  1. I recall our Labour MP turning up at a protest against closure of the A&E department she had voted in favour of and being shocked! Shocked I tell you! that she was barracked. I don’t know if its the arrogance or the indifference that annoys me more with these people.

  2. lol I loved that video, she showed up in her best Tory gear thinking it’d be a photo opportunity (which she still took, despite what happened – look at her no-reply twitter timeline) but got very mad when the protesters realised who she was and knew what she had done.

  3. Shoo-in wife of convicted sex pest votes for the very thing she’s “protesting” against and gets upset when called out on it?

Yeah, sounds like tory Britain to me.

Why are tories so very thin skinned? You’d think with policies like theirs, along with their demonstrable lack of intelligence, that being called out for their shite would be like water off a duck’s back…but no, they the first to scream “oooh, I’m being bullied”

  4. Got to love these paper bully Tories. How many lives ruined by their policies? But heaven forbid anyone boo at them, that’s really crossing a line that is.

  5. There you go… If you speak against the government because they did something against your interests… your a militant.

  6. From the BBC: She joined in with the shouts of “Shame on you” until realising they were directed at her.

  7. I hate this shit that seems to have infected politics where the people who actually have power and the ability to make decisions that affect our lives have started acting like weepy teenagers when shown any forceful pushback.
During the pepper pig speech fiasco, I remember some dim old cow calling in and complaining that everyone is bullying Boris because of the amount of criticism. The cunt is fucking PM! How can anyone bully him? It’s pathetic.

  8. Wow what a lack of self reflection and tone deaf response from the local MP

Spent more time attacking the protesters rather than the company that caused this whole debacle in the first place

  9. Well yeah she probably was. Her party literally vote against laws that would have prevented it and then “protested” against the very same thing she didn’t vote for.

I’ll tell you something. These “you can’t say anything” anti woke types, really don’t like it when you say stuff they don’t like.

  10. I have to wonder what the thinking was from whoever at RMT invited her to come along for photos and canapés or whatever. Was it someone who hadn’t done the research, or (and I’m tending this way) a bit of top level trolling and baiting on the assumption that she’d be too self-absorbed to see the fairly obvious consequence of joining the protests.

  11. > Others shouted: “You voted for fire and rehire.”

    She did.

She’s lying to the public and claiming that she “stands with the workers” even though she repeatedly, consistently voted to remove workers’ rights.

Calling her out on her lies isn’t bullying.

  12. I think they just told the bigoted idiot she wasn’t welcome on a picket line protesting about a law she voted for, ruining their livelihoods.

  13. It’s hardly being militantly left wing to oppose being sacked with no notice and replaced by agency staff on £2 an hour, you can imagine plenty of right wing voters would feel similar angry and aggrieved if it happened to them. She just does not like the fact that not everyone agrees with her and the Tory party, that is far from bullying though.

  14. It’s wild to me they want the right to both be an awful person and to make it illegal to not universally love them.

You wanna be a dick, fine, but you can’t then complain when people don’t adore you.

  15. Two things ….this isn’t “hard left”, arguably, be against fire and rehire is probably even centrist.

Do our MPs even understand what they’re voting on?

  16. Actions have consequences. Is she so naive as to believe the protestors would not be aware of her past. She really is a cretinous fool.

  17. Another tory crying victim because the public didn’t worship them. This is just a pathetic attempt to make it about her because she voted for the very thing that P&O did. She wanted to use it as a photo op and it backfired.
