  1. Crazy seeing a list like that and not seeing the USA as part of it.

Like looking at the map of then EU without the UK

  2. Playing a leading role in gathering and organising like minded nations seeking the success of Ukraine is something I respect from Starmer. No matter what policies he’s put in place, this is an absolute win for him politically and morally

  3. I can’t see this happening. Russia has come out very strongly against. Trump appears to want peace as quickly as possible and at almost any cost. Starmer himself said in the House of Commons that it would be folly to put UK troops on the ground without a US backstop which the US almost certainly won’t provide.

Is this about Starmer inserting leverage into the negotiations to give Ukraine a playing card where in Trump’s words they have none?

  4. Problem is USA are actively working for the Russians…withholding the military aid and support to ensure Kursk is regained and the bargaining chip is gone, recognizing 100% of Russian aims as valid and coming down heavy on Ukraine to plunder their resources for no return, threatening Zelensky whilst cosying up to Putin.

  5. This feels like the British Expeditionary Force
    part III

  6. “Coalition of the Willing” – not a very inspiring name.

What about, get ready to cringe:

    1. Coalition of the Resolute

    2. Coalition of the Guardians

    3. Coalition of the Valiant

    4. Coalition of the Shield

    5. Coalition of the Just

    6. The Unbreakable Coalition

    7. The Watchmen Coalition

    8. The Noble Coalition

    9. The Steadfast Coalition

    10. The United Coalition

  7. I don’t think actual peacekeepers from this force will be used (since we already have a UN peacekeeping force…) but the general principle and action of Starmer to get these leaders together in one viewpoint is a huge win for the UK on the global stage.

  8. Hopefully we’ve learnt from Iraq and Afghanistan, we need unified ROE when It comes to Russia, they will be testing it, probing and false flags from the get go

  9. Am I the only one that reads Coalition of the Willing in Dave Chappelle’s voice when he’s doing the Black George Bush skit?

  10. hahahahahaah I can just imagine Putin now.
“Why don’t all the other children just let me be a total cunt all the time and do nothing about it!? it’s not fairrrrrrr!”

  11. You are not going to end any war if you put troops on the ground.

  12. Starmer being a boss. Man excels at whatever he turns his hand to.

  13. Coalition of willing lol. Why am I getting weapons of mass destruction vibes?

  14. It will be interesting to see if Italy is in their list. They don’t give a list, but they were in the phone call.

If Italy are not in the list, then the list is really quite a serious one, if they make the list, then the list is basically a stern telling off. This is because Italy have said they won’t put peacekeepers in Ukraine.

So if they aren’t in the list, meaning the list is the go team, and then Russia won’t sit down at the negotiating table, are we looking at the coalition of willing to enforce no fly zones over unoccupied areas & Belarus border garrisons?

  15. Any “peacekeeping forces” should be UN deployed non NATO members

  16. Let’s see how that list stands up against photos of flag covered coff8ns and dudes with no legs.

Sabre rattling doesn’t work with Russia, never has

  17. Good for us and good for Ukraine. It is scary to think that the USA is likely to be more isolated on the world stage than ever, however part of me thinks that is the plan (Putin’s, not Trump’s).

  18. I think people genuinely overestimate Russia. They talk big but they’re incredibly useless, they just spend more time harassing other nations and pretending. The only thing they have going for them is nukes.

  19. They won’t go in unless they get guarantees of protection from America .

  20. We need to see the legal text of this; i.e. will a Russian attack on any peacekeepers represent a declaration of war by all other forces and so on?

  21. This must be horrifying to try and set up, much like Putin calling his invasion a special military exercise. Not using the W word.

All the nations know the second anyone admits exactly what they’re doing, nukes will be used.

Staying away from any major city seems wise.

  22. Why should USA get assets when they abandoned Ukraine and Europe are doing the heavy work?

  23. Well done Starmer. Keep it up.
Can’t help but think we should just r/RejoinEU and stop messing around. But yeah, for now this is the only good news happening in the world. Krasnov is busy discussing how much sovereign Ukrainian land his boss gets to keep and plotting invasion of Greenland and Canada.

  24. If this is agreed upon and coalition troops intervene successfully, bringing about peace, Keir Starmer will be politically untouchable.

However, if the Russians call our bluff and continue advancing, he’ll be in serious trouble. There’s zero chance we’d declare war on Russia without U.S. backing, leaving us with only one option, ordering our troops not to engage, much like the Dutch in Bosnia during the Srebrenica genocide. The fallout would be catastrophic, potentially toppling every government involved.

  25. The US seem to have conveniently forgotten that Putin brought in NK troops to fight for him.

  26. How many are going to be willing if the shit hits the fan.

  27. Should really get all these Nations United under some sort of organisation to agree to a treaty to defend each other
