Not a takeway, but there’s a pub in Grantham called Nobody Inn.
Same town does have Wok This Way though.
I’m in Lincoln, we have Pizza Pizza, Smash Up, Your Pizza, Pasta Me and Pizza Launch. These odd named places seem to cycle in and out on a very regular timeframe.
I feel like I have seen that colour scheme and spinning kebab symbol somewhere?
We have a DNR kebabs!
Used to live in North Shields and the shop names used to make me laugh. Not all takeaways, but there was a place called Pizza corner, a pizza shop that was on the corner. There was “phone xperts”, another very ‘does what it says on the tin’ name, but my favourite was a solicitors called “Kyle’s Legal Practice”. I just picture some guy named Kyle struggling for a name and settling on that, and always made me chuckle.
Heywood has Palatable Pizza. I haven’t visited it myself, as the name is so underwhelming.
Dominic’s Pizza, down in Eastbourne. Shut down pretty sharpish- identical colour scheme didn’t help.
This is not my town or takeaway, but in a similar vein here’s Adequate Accessories in France. Also at the weekend in London we spotted Favourable Chicken.
there’s a takeaway place near me that’s called Fatties, imagine ringing up and hearing ‘hello fatties’ think I’d rethink ordering lol
2 Days Kebab
No-one knows if it takes 2 days to get one or if the kebabs are 2 days old.
Kebab kid
We used to have a chinese takeaway called After Taste.
I saw an Ok Windows once so I left a review saying they were just ok.
There’s a burger van round the corner from my work called Only Foods & Sauces.
There was a Chinese in Chadderton called Ming Yuk chippy. No idea if it’s still there.
I saw a photo of a pizza place called ‘cut my life in two pizzas’ which I thought was fun.
In Crewe, there is a kebab/pizza place called My Uncle
We have a place called “Food Time” with a clock as the logo. Its just hilarious how bland the font is. Just standard white sans serif text on a black backgrounld.
Kebabish
A nice takeaway but the names always struck me as funny
There’s an Asian place in Glasgow called Ho Lee Fook
The local brewery where I live is called Pretty Decent Beer. I’d love it if I could get an Ok Kebab after drinking there.
We have a King Kebabs, which isn’t funny in itself, but I insist on calling it Kinky Bab’s. Admittedly, this also isn’t particularly funny, but it gets me through the week.
Used to be a chippy near me called Gold Fish & Chips but they used a weird font so it looked like Cold Fish & Chips. They were actually shit as well, fried the fish from frozen.
Bedford has a sandwich shop called Nice Baps.
Airdrie in Scotland became well known for an Italian restaurant behind an Aldi supermarket called Bacchialdi’s
