There is a growing movement in Europe to support local European products. Would you like to see this idea implemented in Norwegian stores?

  1. We have Nyt Norge, which kinda works, but it’s a bit flawed. Even though a product can be *almost entirely made from Norwegian ingredients and made in Norway*, it can be denied a Nyt Norge mark if it uses spices or milk powders etc. from another European country. So it can seem like a non-Norwegian product even though it’s no less Norwegian than whan most of us make in our homes here (using foreign spices, etc.).

It would be cool to see a universal system like this star symbol in stores here in Norway, but how that rolls out and is made clear for consumers would be interesting. One can also wonder if people here will still be as motivated to boycott products a year down the line.

  2. Selvsagt. Vi er så jæææævlig treige. Få varene merket så vi kan handle bedre. Vil ikke gi en krone som støtter trump og elania.

  3. I’d like something like a pie chart with 3 equal slices. One showing origin of input materials, one showing origin of processing/packaging, and one showing ownership of company.

  4. This might sound like a joke, but Norway really doesn’t have such a big selection of items in the grocery stores that such a thing is truly necessary. If you care to learn the not-so-obvious brands, memorizing this “boycott list” for Norway probably takes 15 seconds tops (who needs to be reminded where Pepsi or Oreos come from… the big ones are common knowledge). What Norwegians almost need to boycott just as much are the EMVs, the store-brand grocery items. The big 3 grocery chains are slowly sending every independent food company to extinction via a long-term pricing and stocking strategy. I know that’s off-topic but Norway’s grocery situation is just baffling, sad and tragic overall.

  5. EU is the closest thing we have to an attempt on the third reich in our time. All countries should leave.

  6. Lots of US products in Norway, from huge companies like CocaCola, Pepsi, Mondelez (a.o. the owner of Freia), Procter & Gamble (Pampers, Always, Gillette etc) and Johnson & Johnson (pharmacy products a.o. things), to name a few.

I doubt we will give up Firkløver and Melkesjokolade to punish Trump ..

  7. Nah Norway’s food selection is laughable enough as it is.

  8. Only thing I want to see in our supermarkets is cheaper prices. Anything else I don’t really care
