He will be allowed to remain in the UK, citing human rights because if he’s deported he could face depression or anxiety
The UK’s asylum and migration system is basically designed as a giant people trafficking operation, the Home Office hands out visas like candy, we hand out ILR and citizenship like it’s going out of fashion, we allow migrants to become welfare dependants and take up social housing (48% of London’s socials housing has a _first generation_ migrant as head of the household), we allow those welfare dependant migrants to bring in family members via family reunification, we pay billions of pounds a year to house unvetted illegal migrants who literally arriving via dinghies in hotels, we barely ever deport illegal migrants even if they commit serious crimes because human rights laws are designed to make it all but impossible
It’s completely bonkers and it’s just going to lead to an extremely rightwing government if nothing changes. The frustrating thing is migration can be an easy policy win if done right, you just need to never allow migrants to become welfare dependants and enforce deportation if they commit crime – and that’s literally it.
Swamp needs draining
He needs to stay in the UK so he can water his plants
This is what we call smashing the gangs.
They won’t stop the boats, because they’re future Labour voters.
Next week on “Surprising shit that happens” …
Top man.
Ebid cannot be deported because he does not like the shawarma in Egypt and it could have a lasting effect on his mental and physical health.
