I think area is important. I was in an area where no one spoke English and it was impossible me to get a job in the same field. I ended up working as an electrician at a recycling plant
First of all, check how your professional qualification is recognised. You will probably have to do this during the visa procedure anyway, but it will save you a lot of time and questions in advance.
