Israel has resumed large-scale airstrikes on Hamas targets in Gaza after Hamas refused to release hostages and rejected multiple negotiation efforts.
The attacks are the most extensive since the end of previous ground operations.
The IDF has targeted Hamas commanders, tunnels, and weapons depots in a surprise operation. Palestinian sources report significant casualties.
Hamas condemned the strikes, blaming Israel for breaking the ceasefire.
Israeli officials warn that military actions will intensify until all hostages are freed and war objectives are met.
This is a dumb move, risks diplomatic backlash even under Trump, doesn’t successfully isolate Hamas by seizing territory from them (something Israel has close to never done). And risks the lives of Hostages.
Netanyahu should realize that unless he wants a military government of Gaza or the PA back in Gaza, stage 2 end-of-war hostage negations are the only route, but of course, his coalition is stopping him.
