  1. I’m not surprised. A number of people in Belgium get to see firsthand the utter unfairness of having people in the European Institutions not pay taxes, receive higher wages for less work, and get free access to a number of benefits like the European Schools, causing a huge perceived inequality in the region.

On top of that, you have Ursula Von Der Leyen supporting Palestinian genocide, and the EU backtracking on its commitment to fight climate change after a bunch of farmers decided to cause a racket, among many other things… You’d expect a bit more efficiency for such high salaries and benefits… What’s the point of the EU, then?

  2. Seems accurate, also young and also think European Union can be a good thing but not as it works actually. Many things can be better or be changed tbh

  3. We seem to be pretty much in line with our neighbors (France, Netherlands, Germany). We have a much lower percentage of no opinion/no answer though.

And we still have a majority in favor. The EU may not be perfect, but your title makes it seem like a majority has a dislike, which definitely is not the case.

  4. Give them a free ski holiday in Switzerland and only charge for their smartphone data usage. Instant EU super fans.

  5. Not me in any case. A strong Europe for a strong Belgium. Furthermore, Europe should stand up and take the void the US is leaving behind. I believe we can do this. United in diversity.

  6. 60% in favor of european union while 34% opposed to it isn’t that bad (especially as only 3% are opposed to the idea, the rest is just against the way it works). It’s not great, but not terrible either.

  7. Of course, most of our youth isn’t from the EU in urban areas. What you’re looking at here is mostly a non-EU immigration chart, with some politically motivated outliers like Hungary.

  8. Is there anything more retarded than Belgians being against the EU? If there’s one country who benefits a shitton of the EU’s existence it’s Belgium.

  9. Is there a version of those stats split by national origin perhaps?
