Dara added: ‘It’s all about your point of view. I don’t understand people who are divorced and then hold their children as collateral; that doesn’t make any sense.
‘It’s about creating a happy home and lifestyle.’
Princess Beatrice has embraced the role of being a stepmother, speaking warmly of her relationship with her stepson, Christopher. She recently brought Wolfie to the BBC Earth Experience in London and made sure he was by her side for church on Christmas Day at Sandringham last year. Edoardo was by Beatrice’s side as she attended the Coronation of her uncle King Charles III at Westminster Abbey on Saturday.
Last year, Beatrice revealed one of the ways she spends time with Wolfie. Beatrice, 34, said she and Wolfie enjoy reading bedtime stories together. ‘My stepson (who is now seven) and I eagerly look forward to receiving the books and going through them together,’ Princess Beatrice said in a speech at Oscar’s Book Prize, of which she is Patron.
