Prince William was asked to build his perfect footballer by selecting one player for each attribute, and he picked a current Tottenham star and a former one in the process.
The Tottenham squad is perhaps not blessed with as many world-class players or mega stars as it was a few years ago.
Heung-min Son is probably the only superstar and bonified Premier League legend currently in N17, but it is not the South Korean who made Prince Willaim’s list.
Instead, it was a Tottenham defender, and the attribute he was selected for will not come as a surprise.

Prince William was doing the segment for The Sun’s YouTube channel and it was Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings who was asking him the questions.
When Mings asked which player’s speed he would want, the Prince said: “I’m going with stats on this one. Micky van de Ven“, to which Mings replied: “very good knowledge”.
Prince William named Tottenham legend, Gareth Bale, for left foot, while he gave Peter Crouch and his robot dance an honourable mention for the best celebration but eventually chose to go with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Is Micky van de Ven at the risk of losing some of his pace at Tottenham?
What separates the Netherlands international from the other centre-backs in the world is undoubtedly his acceleration and speed, which are very rare for a player of such physical stature.
However, it has also led to a lot of hamstring injuries, and Van de Ven has confessed that he is working on changing his running style in order to reduce the chances of injury.
It thus remains to be seen if the 23-year-old will be able to maintain the pace he has and whether he feels comfortable going to his top gear.
