As shown in the video, Russian army uses blue scotch to "mask" during assaults in Kursk oblast.

Translation:

  • TV narrator: Couple days prior to the assault the package arrives with the blue bands.
  • Russian soldier: Yeah, that's the humanitarian aid. Blue bands. We are going to use them when making our assaults. We put these on, go on the task, clean the positions and fix there. Then we remove these bands. We don't put the bands on our helmets only, to let our drones know where we are and where the enemy.

    Both sides and different units frequently change such ID markers. I saw both UA and RUS side having all possible color combinations already.
