Can’t say that I’ve missed stories like this over the last two years.
Surely we should have some sort of no-fly list or “banning order” system (similar to what we have for football disorder) for airlines flying in and out of the UK?
If you so much as fart out of place in the vicinity of a football stadium, you can be banned from every ground in the country and forced to hand your passport into the police station every time England play away. Yet you can drink beyond your limits in the airport bar, cause an aircraft to be diverted because you’re a danger to 180+ other people sharing the same metal tube as you, and be free to fly home once the police have finished with you. That just seems bizarre to me.
It’s a shame people like this spoil the travel for all the others on the plane and its connecting flights.
I’m sure there’s a good reason they can’t just be handcuffed to a jump seat so other people aren’t disrupted.
>One person on board told the Manchester Evening News that a woman was shouting in people’s faces and slapped a man in people’s faces
Must have been pretty fucking strong to be slapping a man in people’s faces! Poor man…
Flying really brings out the worst in people, especially as people like to take the opportunity to have a drink or two for their nerves. Behaviour like this makes an already stressful situation that much worse, for both customers and staff. She deserves a long ban from Jet2 flights at a minimum, along with charges for assault.
‘[S]lapped a man in people’s faces’: did this article go through Google translate?
This is terrorism. She should be doing time, for a long time.
Global no-fly list for a couple of years would do her good.
