Immigration is a phenomenon which is almost only talked about in a European, North American, or Gulf context and I thought it would be interesting to see how many immigrants are in Africa for each country.
I know why Gabon, but why Cote d’Ivoire?
Anyone familiar with the geopolitics of Africa: why is the immigration rate so high in Libya didn’t they have a civil war until not too long ago?
Anyone have any reasons for some of these figures? Mayotte especially must have a story
So what I’m seeing is that Africa needs a lot more diversity
I would like to see crossreference of this image with prevailing influence of world powers in each country (France, Germany, Russia, China, USA etc). I’d bet that it could tell an interesting story.

Morocco seems pretty cool, you’d expect it to have more immigrants per capita than freaking Somalia. A very good friend of mine from college is Somalian, he does not recommend going there. Total side note, his mom makes some bomb food, it turns out that Somali food with an American budget is dope AF.
