The Moscow Exchange’s PE Ratio is 7.5. The US Market is 25. Our investor confidence is 333% that of Russia.
Moex is also up only 16% over the last 5 years, S&P 500 is up 146%. Daily, monthly, and quarterly, one will always outperform another, long term metrics are the key. I’d suggest it’s much more about Moex underperforming over the last 5 years and needing to catch up and the US Markets overperforming and needing to correct its overpricing.
The RUB is not a real currency, the Moscow stock exchange not a real stock exchange and the Russian economy isn’t a real economy
