Ungrateful because she didn’t want to spend 6 years in an Iranian prison so the British government could try to swindle Iran for £400m 😅
[Guardian: Nazanin is grateful, but is she grateful enough? I don’t know but the trolls will tell us —*Marina Hyde*](https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/mar/22/nazanin-zaghari-ratcliffe-iran-hostage-speaks-out)

>To Britain, where a woman who hasn’t said a word for six years is apparently talking too much…

I’ve literally seen nobody hate on her. Just lots of people jumping on the #ungratefulcow to criticse those hating on her.
Seems like a few edgelords did what they do best and this in turn caused an uproar about how loads of racists brits are hating on her.
Funny, but Miles Routledge a British white man disproves this narrative, People of this VERY SUBREDDIT, wanted him to stay in Kabul.

Unzela Khan is trying to claim racism and sexism where it doesn’t exist, it’s sad and pathetic.

Hell, I wonder what their opinion on Shamina begum is, perhaps they know who the White Widow is… Or maybe they don’t care to know because it harms their narrative.
I recall Marcus Rashford being called “ungrateful” when he asked about free school meal provision.
A term that doesn’t get used about, say, Gary Lineker.
Pretty safe to assume that calling critics of the government “ungrateful” is the new racist dogwhistle for those without the moral courage to admit they’re racist.
I know you guys get hard at hating at the Government but here’s the thing.
Legally, under international law, when a dual national returns to a country they hold citizenship of, the other nationality has no consular responsibility over them. As an Iranian citizen, regardless of her dual nationality, we were not responsible for her.
There is so much more to this story than what the media is allowed to report. She was arrested for being involved in espionage, and I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if there was an element of truth to that.
Here is to 2042, when details of the case will hopefully be released under the twenty-year rule.
People desperately searching for a reason to be offended.
Funny because yesterday I was thinking kind of the opposite….that I imagine having Ratcliffe in her name probably would make more people care about her. Aren’t there other British dual-citizens imprisoned in Iran now? It’s really not over and I’m glad she’s not just entirely lying low now she’s free and back. I was impressed by how confident in calling out the involved governments and how well-spoken she was, considering she was just in prison for 6 years.
