  1. >The High Court has appointed a receiver to collect unpaid fines from the salary of Enoch Burke which amount to almost €80,000.

    >An order was also granted to freeze Mr Burke’s bank account to try and retrieve the money owed.

    >Enoch Burke was not in court for the hearing today

    Because of course he wasn’t.

  2. I wonder where all the “donations” head? Presumably Mama Burke’s account; that US trip can’t have been cheap!

  3. Finally, maybe the trip to Washington was the straw that broke the camels back.

  4. Why isn’t his family being charged with aiding and abetting?

  5. It’s mad that we’re still paying him a full salary to garnish when he hasn’t done a tap in nearly three years.

  6. >His brother Isaac Burke was found in contempt of court for interrupting the judge during the hearing but purged his contempt minutes later by remaining silent as requested by Mr Justice David Nolan.

Wow he’ll have to teach Enoch how to do it

  7. I’m surprised Conor McGregor hasn’t stepped in to pay the bill.

  8. The RTÉ obsession with this man made him a celebrity. Well done RTÉ.

  9. About damn time someone in this clan faced a financial penalty.

    Yes finally

  11. About time

I think if the family can afford to fly over to USA they can all pitch in and be accountable

(I know it won’t stop him but least make it harder)

  12. They’ve been discussing doing this for an age so I’d not be surprised (though it isn’t certain) if it transpires the account is being regularly cleaned out to put the money beyond the grasp of the state. His future salary will be fair game, until they eventually get to the end of the process and he’s fired, in a big, giant waste of time.

  13. Fuck me I wish you’d all do this speculation and brow beating for our political classes 🤨The ones actually taking the piss out of the people.
At least that lad had the balls and backbone to stand for what he believed in
