Based on the text in Turkish above, is there a difference in calling Greek Cypriots Kibrisli Yunan or Kibrisli Rum? Hope I got the spelling correct.

Thank you. However, I believe and please correct me if wrong, that in the Ottoman empire, under the millet (hope this is correct), the Greeks were called Rum, Rumlar? So, in my mind, this is just a continuation of this.
We are living in peace and harmony. Carrying our culture together to the future. Singing songs side by side. Our teams competing, we are supporting. Every sunday we are eating kebab and drinking raki/uzo together.
Then my alarm went off, i wake up to suffering again.

I loved the way it finishes as well. Greek speaking Cypriot was about to leave and Turkish speaking Cypriot was like no no no. I am sure they had a coffee and play backgammon after the video and shared some old memories, perhaps photos ☺️
All good and well until you realise that the Greek Cypriot had to go to Australia to continue his live after losing everything, while the Turk Cypriot got his space. They were little kids I guess, so no-one carries responsibility for the war he mentions. Must be a strong heart to even get there and visit old friends. The will to carry on as friends is there, the injustice of the war and the current arrangement will not allow it.

It’s all fun until you realise that the Greek Cypriot probably had to flee the country after the invasion while the Turkish Cypriot got comfortable in the Greek’s old house. But they both were probably young at the time of the invasion, so I can’t really judge any of the two.

Its crime that they split us. Big powers play dirty games and what’s is left behind? Cypriots should unite once again. and big powers should fucking leave us alone.
