Given the insane difficulty with Brexit dealing with the Ireland border, I’d love to see them try to tackle suddenly managing a 3000 mile Canada/US border.

Canada wouldn’t be a whole state on its own. Toronto, Alberta, Quebec, Ottawa, British Columbia, etc. however could all be separate states with their own electoral votes and you guys could help restore a modicum of sanity to our disgraced republic.

No eu country wants to be in the eu instead of just being in nato, article 5 means we will still defend you and realistically you ain’t getting in the eu
The US Congress needs to pull in tariff powers and agreements (trade or otherwise) into their circle and limit what a single president can or can’t do. Many of these things would move slower and be more thoughtful if you needed congress to pass a bill when you wanted them changed instead of just one person doing whatever they want.
Republicans wouldn’t even want Canada as a state. It would throw their entire election scheme out the window
The brain drain the US is experiencing would go into warp drive if it became as simple as moving north to live in the EU
At this point who knows what the rules are just come on board
The USA wants to annex us for conquest and force us under their rule. The EU would allow us to maintain our sovereignty. The choice is clear, if it’s on the table.
Imagine the US reacting to Canada joining the EU the same way Russia reacted to Ukraine wanting NATO status.

This would be great because then when the US either gets its shit back together or fails and fragments into democratic rebuplics and neomedieval fiefdoms, there is already a path to EU membership for nations in this hemisphere.
I thought Canada is technically under the British Monarchy rule, doesn’t that make them already EU?
