4. It’s sad.

   Reminds me of a company I worked at years ago.

   I had a team of folks that did a good job. A guy from my team got promoted to form his own team. We hired a bunch of people for that team. I never quite saw what he saw in the people he picked, but he had final say, since it was his team.

   It was about a year in when we turned down a guy I thought was GREAT for his team, and I figured out what was going on.

   He was a nice, but average guy. He never wanted to hire anyone smarter than him. He was worried about them making him look bad.

   That’s what we have here, to an *extreme* degree. MAGA people are generally not very smart, and they are incredibly insecure. Trump is absolutely driven by his insecurities. They don’t want *anyone* in the room to make them feel bad about how stupid they are.
