  1. If they have no buyers they might have some going cheap soon. Would be a mighty help in bringing down the the cost of diesel, petrol and electricity here.

  2. There’s absolutely no reasonable excuse that we haven’t maximised wind and water power here.

    I get that people think the turbines can be ugly looking (personally I don’t mind them), but there’s nothing stopping us putting them offshore.

    If the government could see the benefits that investment (not selling off rights) could reap, we’d be up and running in a couple of years with increasing returns every year.

    They could even use exchequer returns from selling excess into heavier discounts for EVs.
