The greatest heroes of my lifetime. I’m humbled everytime
The world owes Ukraine’s warriors a debt that’ll never be repaid.

It’s been nearly 15 years since I was last in Afghanistan. I promise you even in the hardest days where we had gunfights nearly everyday it wasn’t a fraction of what the Ukrainian Warriors are doing.
I love the guys I served with as though they are my flesh and blood.
A lost brother is a physical wound. It is a black hole in your chest. It is real, do not let anyone tell you to get over it. Alcohol or Oxy can make the pain stop. But it will never fill that hole.
The hole left by your lost brothers will always be there, but they have left you room to fill it. You need to fill the hole with something you can cherish. Art, writing, music, community service, endurance sports, family, church. Anything that adds goodness to the world.
When you feel the empty throbbing inside of you it means you need to feed it. It will feel stupid and pointless at first. But you do it anyways, paint a shitty painting, write a terrible poem. Every time you feel like you are getting swallowed up in the empty darkness you do something to fill that hole. Then do it again and again and again and again.
Then one day many years from now you will realize the emptiness doesn’t overwhelm you. The hole will not be gone. But it will be filled with years of effort to bring goodness into the world. And it will forever be in the shape of your lost brothers.
Just putting it out there, what if someone got a go fund me account together for someone to remove Putin anyway possible. Do you think we could scratch together $100mil world wide to give Putin a target on his back that nobody could ignore?

So much pain behind her eyes, but she remains strong as steel. Respect
