It came as no surprise, therefore, that when Sienna Mapelli Mozzi was born at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital the following year, she was given a particularly poignant middle name. Beatrice and Edoardo dubbed their first-born Elizabeth – a sweet nod to their daughter’s late great-grandmother. Her first name, meanwhile, was reportedly inspired by the red hair that Beatrice and her mother, Duchess of York, share.

Beatrice and Edoardo are famously private when it comes to family life, and don’t tend to share photographs of their daughter online. However, ‘Edo’ (as he is known to his friends) posted one adorable picture of Sienna last year, to mark her birthday. ‘Happy Birthday Baby Girl. You bring us so much love and joy every day,’ he captioned an Instagram image of his little one, as she tottered around a garden in a floral sundress and an oversized sombrero.

Beatrice is also known to be close to her stepson, Christopher Woolf, known as Wolfie, whom Edo shares with his former girlfriend, American architect, Dara Huang. His first royal outing was to attend church at Sandringham with his father and Beatrice on Christmas Day in 2022; the following year, he attended the Princess of Wales‘ Westminster Abbey carol concert, at which he was pictured holding Beatrice’s hand.
