On a scale of 1 – 10 how tough is it to climb this for an average Joe?
It’s a beautiful view on a clear day.
That’s only correct if you don’t consider the occupied 6 counties a part of Ireland. Spot the tan.
Is it higher than the mourns?
What is it above sea level in meters ? Five years back or so did the one in NI, sleeve donard, think it’s supposed to be about 1km or so, but fck me was wasted doing it once on last bit there was like 400m left to the top. Thus never even finished it, it’s like that 1km sounds like nothing but getting to place takes hours of driving, then you bust well over hour just getting trough forest fields until elevation gain slowly kicks in and your sweating balls getting cardio workouts, with every bit getting steeper.
So I can only imagine how it feels to do Smth like 3km which seems are plentiful in Canada, as often watch YouTube vids, and them 5 ten min clips seem like fck all, until you attemp anything above 200m yourself,.
Nice to see some shots that show the steepness of the devil’s ladder. I climbed it when I was around 12-13 and remembered it being quite steep
Mesmerising. Well done
Why is that cross up there? Who put it there? Can it be removed I wonder
Well done on the climb, hope to do it one day
Handy oul climb, did it last Friday. When it’s raining the Devils Ladder is like a river.
