Its just cognitive dissonace, its simply easier on the brain for it to believe, despite the adverse consequneces, that it made the ‘right choice’ than for it to accept thats its actually chosen to ruin its own future, the future of the brain owner’s wife, and quite possibly the future of the entire country the brain resides in.

    They literally ran on the premise that they shouldn’t need to do any such things, and all of Biden’s efforts to improve tracking and streamline the processes were endlessly demonized as “open borders”, “pro-crime”, and they were immediately dismantled. A thing you agreed with and voted for.

    Why are they going to spend time and money streamlining a process that benefits “illegals”, “criminals”, “gang members”, and “terrorists” like your wife? Why would they do that?

    I feel more for the woman who lived here since she was an infant and was recently dropped off in Laos and left to figure things out for herself. Her husband and five kids are here, and she can’t come back. She’s never known another country. And I realize she could have applied for a green card, she shouldn’t have committed a crime, etc. But dude, she’s not from Laos. She’s American all but legally. She did her time for the crime committed. It just seems unnecessarily harsh to deport someone who’s stateless.

  24. Living in a rural area, I know so many dudes that are exactly like Brad, down to the “Brew Crew” shirt.  Working shitty minimum wage jobs for life and voting against their own interests thinking that politics is as simple as sports.

  25. I think one of the major personality traits for the average Trump voter is the complete lack of any and all introspection. Nothing can ever be their own fault everything is always the fault of “the others”. That constant victim mentality. “I’ve been taken advantage of” “I’ve been getting screwed” “It’s everybody else’s fault” they see this reflected in the dear leader and it validates them. So their connection is on a deeper level and thus much more difficult to shake even when it’s causing them harm.
