EU backs Moldova’s future with financial aid
On March 18, the Council of the European Union approved €1.9 billion to establish the Reform and Growth Facility, designed to support Moldova’s reforms related to EU integration and its economic growth.
This EU initiative aims to help Moldova tackle the challenges arising from Russia’s war against Ukraine and its ongoing efforts to destabilize Moldova.
The payments will be conditional, linked to the successful implementation of agreed reforms, and will be disbursed twice a year, based on requests from Moldova’s government and a verification process by the European Commission.
