Tbh atm im not in the mood for blitzkrieg. I know, I’m not a real Hans.
Imo, the EU’s goal should be to become so strong militarily that we are not at the mercy of the Americans and Russians.
We should arm ourselves, unite, so that a war with us is associated with massive risks. We should become so strong militarily that we can engage in diplomacy on an equal footing or even from a perspective of strength. Possibly even persuade the Russians to return to a neutral relationship in the long term. Because they are sitting in our front garden. Peace is clearly preferable here.
But we should not do the same to the barbarians on the other side of the Atlantic. Unlike them, we’ve all had enough wars in our own country. And nobody can tell me that they want that.
Therefore: “Si vis pacem para bellum”. But nothing more.
