  1. Americans used to threaten dictators, now they’re afraid of them. The past generations of resolve and determination are gone, replaced by a bunch of feckless gamers and influencers sucking on big tech’s dick.

  7. From the US point of view, the lack of trade from Russia means less leverage/money but also more incentive for Russia to boost the Chinese economy. They saw Russia as a weak economy but a great resource provider. They are terrified by the possibility to loss the world leadership, the same way they were in 90′ with Japan and during cold war with Russia. There is no moral behind it. USA has always been very patronizing toward the rest of the world (and it’s a French man that says that), but now they are just less subtle and you add the Trump personality to that…

  13. Trade WHAT? Russia has nothing US needs, or that any other country needs for that matter. They have oil, but everybody has oil. Russia has a third world economy.

  17. It seems pretty obvious to me, but not many mention it. Trump likes people who can deal with him personally and do him personal favors. Dictators can do that, but leaders of democracies cannot. I think it’s that simple. This is a narcissistic and vain man baby… 

    He’s happy with trashing America’s national interests for his own personal interests… the sooner everyone comprehends this reality, the better.
