Here’s Conor McGregor’s biggest problem. His desire to leave a noble legacy is so very intense, but the moral fibre he’s relying on is so very pallid. McGregor is the living paradox of someone who is obsessed with being a great man, and won’t trouble himself with the consequential fact that he’s simply not all that great.

The erstwhile champion hasn’t had a fight in years, but sits on social media talking as big a talk as possible (for a man of few big words) to try to make sure the world of MMA doesn’t forget about him. With his best sporting days well behind him, watch the washed-up McGregor closely and witness the tragic spectacle of him desperately trying to find acclaim anywhere he can.
