This is probably the best Cyprus problem video on Youtube that I’ve watched. Unbiased, informative and concise. Gotta say, the British definitely took advantage of the Cypriot population’s diversity by instrating a ‘divide-and-rule’ strategy during their times being on the island. I’ve heard many stories of both communities being very friendly to each other prior to the enosis fiasco. Enosis was very much pushed by the junta authority in Greece and I wish it was never even considered, same for taksim by the other side. Imperialism strikes again.
Fun fact: H. Kissinger has a big part in this affair and let’s just say, it wasn’t nice. His involvement with the junta was…questionable.
