Inaugural Charter Flight Brings 200 Iranian Tourists to Ho Chi Minh City
On March 19, a group of 200 Iranian tourists arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on the first-ever charter flight from Iran to Vietnam, marking a major milestone in the two countries’ tourism partnership.
Exploring Vietnam’s Rich Culture and History
The visitors will embark on a 10-day adventure, exploring the southern, central, and northern regions of Vietnam, with their trip scheduled to end on March 28. Their itinerary features visits to some of the country’s most famous cultural and historical landmarks, including the Cu Chi Tunnels, Ben Thanh Market, War Remnants Museum, Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, Ba Na Hills, Hoi An Ancient Town, the One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, and Hoan Kiem Lake.
A Growing Appeal for Vietnam as a Tourist Destination
The timing of their visit, coinciding with Nowruz – the Iranian New Year – highlights Vietnam’s rising popularity as a travel destination among Iranian tourists. The selection of Vietnam during this significant cultural period reflects the country’s increasing appeal to international travelers.
Premier Accommodation for Tourists
During their stay, the Iranian tourists will enjoy top-tier accommodations at prestigious hotels, including New World Saigon, Equatorial Ho Chi Minh, Four Points by Sheraton Danang, and Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi.
Boosting Vietnam’s International Tourism Market
A spokesperson from the municipal Department of Tourism emphasized that this charter flight is a critical move in Vietnam’s efforts to expand its international tourism market. By tapping into the Middle Eastern market, Vietnam not only diversifies its tourism sources but also opens doors for the development of premium tourism products, enhanced service quality, and a stronger position on the global tourism stage.
Plans for Future Growth and Collaboration
Looking ahead, the Department of Tourism intends to collaborate with industry partners to create tailored tourism experiences that cater to the evolving needs of international travelers. In addition, they plan to ramp up promotional efforts to attract larger groups and enhance Vietnam’s visibility as a prime travel destination.
Second Group of Iranian Tourists to Arrive in Hanoi
The second group of 200 Iranian tourists will arrive in Hanoi on March 28, continuing their exploration of Vietnam’s renowned attractions in the northern, central, and southern regions until April 5.
