An exciting battle is set to determine one of the four spots in the UEFA Nations League Semifinals, as Croatia prepares to take on France on Thursday.

Croatia entered this season’s Nations League hoping to better its performance from two seasons ago, when the team made it all the way to the championship match, losing to Spain in the final. This year, the team managed to squeak out of the group stage, going an even 2-2-2, finishing second in A1 behind Portugal.
France did not have as much trouble advancing out of the opening round of the season. They finished tied with Italy in A2 with 13 points apiece but secured first place thanks to a better goal differential. France has only made it to the UNL semis once, that coming in 2021 when they won the whole thing.
France is 6-3-1 against Croatia, through Croatia won the last meeting during the group stage of the 2022-23 Nations League season. The French are 2-1-1 against the Croatians in UNL play all-time.
