However, an important reminder because I keep seeing people get this wrong: embezzlement in Scots law is different to embezzlement in England and Wales. In E&W fraud and theft can be rolled in embezzlement, i.e. making a personal gain, siphoning money into your own account etc. But in Scotland, embezzlement is only misappropriation of property (i.e. cash in this case) so for example: if you gave me money to build a coastguard’s hut and i used it to build a lifeboat house, I might’ve embezzled your money, without any personal gain, because I misappropriated it from it’s intended use, even though it’s similar use. If he made personal gain it would be fraud and/or theft charges.
So where has the money gone ?
Could this possibly have had anything to do with Nukla stepping down? Will the proofreading on this book reach even a Scottish high school level? I’m joking of course none of the people squandering their PIP on this book have much of a reading comprehension level beyond pro Indy twitter pile ons, and fake Scottish history “research” from “the two Davies” podcast. Oh yeah and all those grim swingers and doggers chats from the marches. Honkin’
Good. I have stated my opinion on this subject matter on this forum so many times that I am bored of typing it. But I am genuinely glad that my taxes are used to fund a thorough and complex four year (and counting) investigation into how volunteered donations, donated voluntarily, were (mis)spent by Murrell, ~~Beattie~~, ~~Sturgeon~~ et al. If anyone is found guilty at the end of the investigation, then I hope they are punished appropriately.
